The apex court ruled today 3rd of March, 2023 that the old currencies should remain a legal tender along with the redesigned new notes till 31st January, 2023.
Old currencies, #200, #500 and #1,000 still remain legal tender till ending of January, 2024.
Supreme court clearly stated that Apex Bank (CBN) can't be 💯% independent as they are still under the control of Finance ministry by extension under the control of Federal Government governed by the constitution.
The Court directed that cash confusication should stop while directive on cash withdrawal limit is an infringement on the citizen human right.
Apex Court ruled that People should have full access to their deposited fund without any hindrance.
Glory be to God on this landslide judgement. My dear people will now have a great relief.
