God made you original don’t live or die a copy.

Everyone is uniquely made. 

That’s one of the ingenuity of our Father God. 

He did not make any two people be the same in everything, even identical twins. 

This is why the Bible says that people that compare themselves with themselves are not wise.

 

It is not smart to compare the cheetah with squirrels, they are very different.

God has a definite and particular race set before you. 

Our race is individualistic. 

You may aspire to be like your mentor, but that does not mean you should lose your identity.

 

Many speakers lack confidence in their speech because they are trying to speak like someone else. 

Many preachers lose faith in their abilities because they are comparing themselves with other pastors. 

If you compare yourself with someone different and bigger than you, you will be left with a depressive feeling. 

If your choice of comparison is someone you are bigger than, you may be filled with a fake sense of achievement and be bloated with pride. 

Neither is good. Be yourself.

 

You can hardly move at the right pace once you start comparing yourself with others.

You may derive inspiration from others, but do not lose confidence in yourself because you are not as big as someone else. 

You are you.

2 Corinthians 10:12 KJV

For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

 

New Revised Standard Version

2 Corinthians 10:12 (NRSV)

We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another, and compare themselves with one another, they do not show good sense.

 

Confession 

I am original. I aspire to get better but I do not look down on myself. I am an achiever. I diligently run the race God sets before me. I don’t run another man’s race and I don’t care about it, I only concentrate on the race set before me.
