OPEN LETTER FROM YOUTHS ADVOCACY FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE (YAGGO), TO PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU,  GCFR, ON SUBSIDY REMOVAL. Comr. Aro Olorunyomi Victor ```Convener```

It is with all sense of modesty, responsibility, nationality and confidence in your ability to deliver, we the apex body of youths in Ondo South, have decided to first congratulate you for being found worthy of this mandate, by millions of Nigerians, across ethnic and religious lines, most of whom were youths.

In the same vein, we wish to inform you that it was with great ecstasy, we received your audacious move to lay to rest, once and for all, the reoccurring issue of subsidy removal that every successive government, battles.

While we are not unaware of the negative effects of this on our standard of living as a people, whose verse population live below poverty line, we share the same view with you, that the gains far outweigh, the pains.

Your Excellency, while some have reacted in apprehension of what your administration holds for an already failing state in the face of the ongoing subsidy removal amidst economic meltdown, we wish to assure you that majority are on your side, based on your antecedents, political trajectories, and abilities to turn things around, for good.

Mr. President, permit us to say that, notwithstanding your past records, leadership traits and the confidence in your capacity that made us to entrust you with this highest task of governance, we will not fail to remind you that, all those (past) records combined, were only good to bringing you to the exalted seat, as what you do with our mandate at the presidency now, is what counts, here, and after you departure. On the other way, no one would ever remember your exploits in Lagos again, once you fail in the new assignment, just like none among your contemporaries would be able to match or beat your records, once you stick to your promises and listen to voice of reasoning.

On the fuel subsidy, we hereby reaffirm our full support, as we humbly advise that you take the following measures, to cushion its negative effects on the masses:

- That your Excellency, beyond lips service that has always been paid by successive government in this regard, repair at least, one or two of the moribund refineries, to complement that of the Dangote's.

- That you overhaul the relevant agencies monitoring the approved pump prices of fuel, across the country for optimal performance and compliance, and ensure the marketers do not exploit the  people of their hard earned resources, henceforth.

- That as soon as possible, you channel or invest the subsidy into other areas or sectors as planned and already announced, to reassure the people of the ''Renewed Hope''.

- That, while as a democrat who had risked everything, to birth and sustain our nascent democracy, right from the military era, you likewise give room for descent voices and allow the people to exercise their constitutional rights in reaction to any issue of national importance like this; yet, on no ground should you fail to deal decisively with the enemies of the state, masquerading as associations, unions or societies, waiting to dash the already ''renewed hope'' of the people and;

- That you prioritize the issue of economy, security, education, agriculture, employment, empowerment and a wholistic war against corruption.

Your Excellency, we want to as a final note, implore you to live by your promise, as already known to be an Icon of human development, by prioritizing the issue of youths, who are the strength and future of our dear country, and the secret to the greatness of all developed countries, world over.

This, your Excellency, is the only way, to write your name on the sand of time, go beyond other African leaders (including the famous proponent of Ujama), to becoming one of the foremost world leaders.

 ```Congratulations once again!```
Signed:
