Elekan of Ekan ,Oba Olaniyan David Adekunle, has called on Muslims to emulate the virtuous life of Prophet Muhammad as they celebrate this year’s Maulud-Nabiy.
Oba Odundun Asoludero Orifemiloye1 in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Jolayemi Abiodun Rotimi, this morning in Ekan ,Oke Ero Local Government, kwara State, noted that the virtues of Prophet Muhammad constitute the whole essence of his birthday celebration.
Oba Olaniyan David Adekunle said the observance of virtues like total obedience, love, justice and self-sacrifice of Prophet Muhammad by Muslim faithful would take the country, the state and Ekan Community in particular to the Promised Land.
His Royal majesty ,Oba Olaniyan David Adekunle enjoined Muslims to continue to be their brother's keeper, promote unity and cohesion in whatever they do and as well, continue to live in harmony with other fellow Nigerians in fulfilment of the commandment of Allah, and teachings and lessons of the Holy prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)
Oba Olaniyan further urged Muslims faithful in Ekan and kwara State at Large to imbibe the virtues as exemplified by Prophet Muhammad who is always ready to please Allah.
" On behalf of myself and my entirely family, I rejoice with our brothers and sisters in Islam across the world on the occasion of this year's Maulud-Nabiy. May we celebrate many more years ",Elekan prayed.
