We, the Ondo State Elegant Youth Forum (OSEYF), urge the Honourable Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly (ODHA), groups, and the entire people of Ondo State to maintain peace and unity during this critical period.
The recent calls for the removal of the distinguished Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Omowumi Isaac, have sparked concerns. As stakeholders in the state's progress, we appeal for calm and understanding.
As we approach the November 16th gubernatorial election, it is crucial that we rally behind our leader, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and the great APC party. Unity and solidarity are essential for our collective victory.
Mrs. Omowumi Isaac is a renowned professional accountant and finance expert with impressive local and international credentials. A United Kingdom-trained chartered accountant, Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University, London, and an MSc in Professional Accountancy from the University of London.
A member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Mrs. Isaac boasts extensive experience as a banker and previously served as the Director-General of the Office of the Bureau of Public Procurement (ODBPP) during former Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu's first term and even the leaf's in ondo was able to testify to her commitment in the Akeredolu's government, as the Director-General of the (ODBPP).
With her impeccable qualifications and experience, Mrs. Isaac is poised to become the first female Commissioner for Finance in Ondo State, promoting gender equality and excellence in governance.
We implore stakeholders to await her return and refrain from calls for her removal, which may create unnecessary divisions within the APC. Let us prioritize unity, sensibility, and progress.
