DR. JIDE MARTINS ADEWINLE RECEIVES ACCOLADES FOR REPRESENTING GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA AT THE OGWA PROJECT LAUNCH AND FUNDRAISING.

Oriyomi Oluseyi

It was with immense pride and honor that I, Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle, represented His Excellency, Hon. Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, at the historic launch and fundraising event for the OGWA Project in Ode-Aye, Okitipupa Local Government Area.

As a proud son of Ode-Aye, this occasion was a profound celebration of our rich cultural heritage and a testament to our shared commitment to progress.

The event radiated unity and enthusiasm, and I was privileged to serve as a co-chief launcher in this epoch-making initiative.

His Excellency, Governor Aiyedatiwa, conveyed his heartfelt goodwill message, reaffirming his unwavering dedication to preserving our cultural diversity while fostering sustainable development across Ondo State.

His support reaffirms the importance of initiatives like the OGWA Project, which embody the spirit of communal coexistence and progress.

I extend my deepest gratitude to His Royal Majesty, the Halu of Ode-Aye, for his inspiring remarks, which highlighted the OGWA as the "Senate House of the town"— a revered symbol of pride and unity.

The OGWA stands as the people's parliament, a sacred space where decisions are made, unity is forged, and the collective future of Ode-Aye is shaped.

It is a beacon of meaningful engagement and a cornerstone for fostering a civilized, inclusive society.

I am equally grateful to the Ondo State Executive Council and well-meaning sons and daughters of the state for their solidarity and support.

The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Prof. Igbekele Ajibefun, former Local Government Chairman and Commissioner, Pastor Olusegun Aiyerin, elder statesman and former Governor of the old Western State, Admiral Akin Aduwo (Rtd.), and the APC Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Hon.Bode Ikulala.

Their presence added immense prestige and significance to the occasion.

The fundraising drive was met with overwhelming generosity, with contributions and pledges reflecting the collective resolve of our people to ensure the successful completion of the OGWA Project.

This outpouring of support is a powerful affirmation of our shared vision for a vibrant and united Ode-Aye.

As we move forward, I remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote cultural preservation, community development, and unity across Ondo State.

I am also glad to project this cultural heritage to the world as a federal commissioner representing Ondo State at the South-West Development Commission (SWDC).

Together, we will continue to build a legacy of progress and pride for generations to come.

We will put the sunshine state in the forefront once again.
