DR. JIDE MARTINS ADEWINLE REPRESENTS SWDC CHAIRMAN - APPLAUDS SUPPORT FOR FUTA M.TECH E-STUDIO IN FUTA, ONDO STATE

By Oriyomi O Oluseyi

It is with great pride and a profound sense of responsibility that I, Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle, Federal Commissioner representing Ondo State at the South-West Development Commission (SWDC), extend my heartfelt commendation and support for the visionary initiative of establishing the M.Tech E-Studio at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Ondo State.

Representing the distinguished Chairman of the SWDC, Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi, at the recent event honoring Arch. Mobolaji Adeola Adeniyi, FNIA—the second female president of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA)—I was privileged to witness a landmark moment that reflects the transformative power of purposeful leadership and collaboration.

The M.Tech E-Studio project, a legacy initiative under Arch. Mobolaji Adeniyi’s UNITE agenda, is a testament to innovation and progress in architectural education and practice. Strategically designed to establish one such studio in each geopolitical zone of Nigeria, the South-West’s hub in Ondo State is a monumental step toward advancing technological infrastructure and fostering sustainable development in our region.

This initiative aligns seamlessly with the SWDC’s mission to drive inclusive growth and development across the South-West, and I am immensely proud that Ondo State has been chosen as the anchor for this transformative project.

I extend my sincere gratitude to Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi, Chairman of the SWDC, for entrusting me with the honor of representing him at this historic occasion.

His unwavering commitment to the development of the South-West inspires us all, and I am privileged to share in this vision of progress and unity.

The successful launch of the fundraising campaign for the Fifty Million Naira M.Tech E-Studio at FUTA marks a significant milestone, one that will provide cutting-edge technological support to students, professionals, and the broader community, positioning Ondo State as a hub for innovation and excellence.

As Federal Commissioner, I remain steadfast in my commitment to complement the efforts of the Ondo State Government and the administration of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. My recent engagements with international investors and partners reflect our shared resolve to attract transformative investments that will elevate the socio-economic landscape of Ondo State and the South-West at large.

The M.Tech E-Studio is a beacon of this collective ambition, promising to empower future generations with the tools and knowledge to shape a sustainable and prosperous future.

I applaud Arch. Mobolaji Adeola Adeniyi and the Nigerian Institute of Architects for their foresight and dedication to advancing the architectural profession through this groundbreaking initiative.

I also call on all stakeholders—government, private sector, and community leaders—to rally behind this noble cause and contribute generously to the realization of the M.Tech E-Studio.

Together, we can build a legacy that will inspire innovation, foster collaboration, and drive unparalleled development in Ondo State and beyond.

SIGNED:
Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle (JMA)
