False Prophets cause a lot of divisions and evil among families.

By pronouncing words as from the Lord but not from the Lord, false prophets sometimes accuse mothers of being behind the challenges of their children. 

They divide happy families by tagging some of the members as evil. 

Some children who have travelled abroad have been separated from their parents that sponsored their trips.

Many people have been derailed maritally by these prophets. 

They prophesy specific partners for some ignorant but sincere Christians. 

Sometimes they separate two people who are already in a serious relationship leading to marriage by predicting a black future for them.

 

False Prophets have their pockets filled by giving words to politicians, predicting their successes. 

Some of these false prophets delve into sports predictions. 

Their evils are uncountable and many times, unspeakable. 

But in all these, they hardly force people unless you either contact them or listen to them.

 

The best antidote to false prophets is not to listen to them.

 Do not listen to, contact, or consult false prophets or any prophet for that matter!

Born-again Christians are not supposed to be visiting and consulting any prophet, false or true. 

You can be led by the Spirit of God personally.

1 John 4:1 KJV

[1] Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

 

New Living Translation

1 John 4:1 (NLT)

Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.

 

Confession 

“I am a born again Christian. I have the Spirit of God in me. I am being led by the Spirit of God. I refuse to consult prophets because I am not a bastard or a fool.”
