Nigeria as a country, has tasted democracy and we have started harvesting the goodies of the universal practices through freedom of speech, freedom of choice and freedom of movement.
I will urge us in Lagos State to continue to internalize this norms until it becomes virtue in us for the development of our dear Lagoon State.
I believe, It's our collective responsibility to make democracy work in Lagos State and Nigeria at large in order to promote peace, unity and development.
It is high time we democratized all the processes of recruiting leadership in our society, mostly using it to inculcate the ideas, norms together with the right ethics of Democracy in our children from the primary schools to higher institutions and our society at large for the benefits of the majority.
I will also urge us not to forget those who paid the supreme price for the democracy we are enjoying today in Nigeria, history has to be kind to them and their names should be immortalized.
I personally will not shy away from appreciating the likes of General Musa Yaradua, Chief MKO Abiola, Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, Pa. Alfred Rewane, Pa Adekunle Ajasin, Chief Gani Fawehinmi and the likes of others of Blessed memory.
Also to our living heroes, mostly the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for taking lead for the struggle for democracy in Nigeria and having achieve a great feat to be at the elms of affairs in Nigeria today against all odds and I have no doubt in him that he will be the Abraham Lincoln of our country Nigeria.
I want to congratulates all of us for witnessing another democratic dispensation in Nigeria and beg us to guide jealousy the democracy we have today.
